Blue/gold has a special place in my heart, but then again, a pastel blue Miata with Ronal Bear wheels does, too. I would also take the Rex, because usable space.

My bro-in-law has a 2007 Miata. We went driving once and our shoulders and elbows were touching the whole time. We’re both 6'2" and he’s like 260#. It just didn’t work, and I don’t mean that because I’m insecure in my sexuality.

A few years ago my driveway contained a ‘09 WRX, and an ‘03 Miata. I thought I was in heaven.

Then I realized I never drove the Miata, because the WRX was just so much quicker, and more fun during day to day driving.

So I sold the Miata.

I love Miatas, but living with one day to day, they bore the shit out of me. On a nice curvy road with the top dowwn though, nothing is better.

I actually enjoy my Miata day to day because it is a little boring. It is nice to have the good gas mileage, relatively soft suspension to keep comfortable, and good gearing to at least keep things mildly interesting. But for day to day use I would otherwise have a boring econobox to save on costs so its nice to have something just a little more engaging. I could definitely see the Miata becoming just my autocross machine once I can afford nicer cars for the daily stuff.

Per every review I’ve read, as long as you don’t need the extra space, it’s better than the FoST. I love mine. It has it’s flaws, but none of those are how it drives.

I would do Magnetic or Molten Orange if I could do it over. I love the color, but it’s a PITA to keep clean, and it gets fucking hot. If there is sun out, water immediately dries on it, leaving water marks.
